A Field of Chickens

It's been nearly a year since Flyte so Fancy last blogged and in that time we have; been to the RHS Hampton Court Show, shivered through a cold winter and continued to make sturdy henhouses to the highest quality. While the seasons have changed here in Dorset, one things stays the same, day in and day out here at Flyte so Fancy.

The walk each and every morning, down to our very own chicken paddock to do our daily stop in on the chickens, geese, guinea fowl and ducks that all call Flyte so Fancy their home too. Whether it is changing the poultry bedding over (for reasons unknown to anyone here, it's a long wheelbarrow walk up to the compost heap) or collecting the eggs up for that Saturday morning fry up, you can always guarantee to be surrounded by feathery bundles, waiting for you to get to the feed bins and doll out a breakfast of layers pellets for all.

Our flock live in resplendent style here at FSF HQ within a Maggies 12 and a Maggies 24 henhouse, ten years on and we still haven't had a single cluck of complaint about reliability, practicality or how gorgeous they are. However unfortunately for me I have drawn the short straw and am on cleaning duty today (I see myself more as an egg collector personally).

Here at Flyte so Fancy we're potty about poultry and have an ethic of building strong, sturdy hand crafted henhouses. Made from solid tanalised Scandinavian Redwood by Dorset carpenters, they bring a little touch of countryside charm to poultry keeping up and down the country. Here at Flyte so Fancy we're ready to dispense advise, recommend a product or just have a chat about chickens; so send us an email on info@flytesofancy.co.uk or please call  01300 345229 for that personal touch.
